According to the official results, Donald Trump received 312 electoral votes, and Kamala Harris obtained 226. After months of fierce competition in key states, Trump clearly prevailed in each of them.

Despite the defeat, Harris expressed pride in the conduct of her campaign. "I am proud of the race we ran and the way we ran it," she emphasised. She also appealed for acceptance of the election results. "Now, I know folks are feeling and experiencing a range of emotions right now. I get it, but we must accept the results of this election," she said.

Following the conclusion of the campaign, there is already speculation about potential Democratic candidates for the 2028 elections. Among the names mentioned by party insiders are Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro.
