Trump blames Zelensky and Biden in Fox News interview
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, wants to end this war, but he shouldn't have allowed it to happen, said Donald Trump in an interview with Fox News. The former American president also used the interview to criticise his successor, Joe Biden.
“Zelensky wants to end it now. He's had enough. He shouldn't have allowed this to happen either. You know, if he's no angel, he shouldn't have allowed this war to happen. First of all, he's fighting a much bigger entity, OK? Much bigger,” Trump stated during a conversation with Sean Hannity for Fox News.

Trump also blamed his successor for the outbreak of the war. According to him, Biden's statements provoked Russia to aggression. “Putin shouldn't have done it, too. I mean, I'm not blaming only what — Putin shouldn't have done it. He shouldn't have done it, and it has to stop,” he noted.
Trump expressed that Zelensky might have prevented the conflict by pursuing a negotiated settlement. He noted that Zelensky chose to resist despite Ukraine's limited resources compared to Russia's substantial military power, including approximately 18,000 tanks. While acknowledging the bravery of Ukrainians in utilizing American equipment for their defense, Trump underscored the importance of bringing the conflict to an end.
The former US president reiterated his earlier threats regarding imposing high tariffs, taxes, and sanctions on Russia if the war in Ukraine doesn't end soon. Trump stressed that the conflict shouldn't have erupted at all, and the actions of the previous US administration contributed to its escalation.
In a conversation with Fox News, Trump expressed his belief that the conflict could be ended "very easily," if Zelensky made different decisions. “He fought against a much larger entity. Much larger. Much more powerful. He shouldn't have done that,” the former president assessed.
