The police reported that an inspection is underway to determine the full extent of the accident, though the shop has suffered extensive damage. It was mentioned that approximately 20 people were on the tram at the time, with four individuals, including the driver, sustaining injuries.

"It's complete chaos here. It's surreal. The tram is standing across the entire Storgata with its front deep inside Eplehuset," one of the accident witnesses said in an interview with VG newspaper’s portal.

As reported by Reuters, photos from the scene show a blue tram that crashed with force into the computer shop. The damaged shop is located on the ground floor of a four-storey building.

Emergency services and police arrived at the scene and secured the area. The police reported that residents of the damaged building were evacuated to check whether the building's structure had been compromised.
