Tragedy strikes Örebro: gunman kills ten at Swedish school
At least ten people have been killed, and six injured in a shooting in the Swedish city of Örebro. An armed assailant stormed an adult school. Dramatic footage of the attack has been published online.
Swedish police reported that "around ten people" were killed in the shooting at the school in central Sweden, and the alleged perpetrator is likely among the victims.

On Tuesday afternoon, the attacker opened fire on the Risbergska campus, which also houses other schools, including those for children. The police stated they are attempting to determine a possible motive for the attack.
According to the Associated Press, the school's corridors were filled with sounds of "terror." The agency cites the account of one of the incident's witnesses.
In the recordings published online, you can see students barricaded in a classroom where an alarm is sounding. Another recording shows people outside the school. At a certain point, gunshots are heard.
"We heard three bangs and loud scream," said Andreas Sundling, a 28-year-old man who hid in a classroom. Authorities informed him to stay there and wait for evacuation.
One of the witnesses mentioned that the school corridors were filled with sounds of terror, as reported by the Associated Press, citing the Swedish newspaper Expressen.
The daughter of Johannes Sjoberg was attending the school. Her father told SVT television that the girl arrived at the school five minutes before the whole incident.
Further recordings show the injured being evacuated, among others, by police officers.
Roberto Eid Forest, the local police chief, describes the events as "terrible" and "exceptional, a nightmare." He stated that the perpetrator was not known to the police. He also confirmed that the perpetrator used a firearm.
