The death of Liam Payne, a member of One Direction, shocked thousands of people worldwide. The artist tragically passed away on 16 October 2024, after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Argentina. Toxicology tests showed he was under the influence of multiple psychoactive substances, which may have affected his behaviour before his death. The autopsy results confirmed multiple organ injuries and both internal and external bleeding.

Personnel from the Special Investigations Division and the Special Technological Investigations Division were deployed [Wednesday] afternoon to the CasaSur Hotel in Palermo where the singer Liam Payne lost his life last week to carry out a raid […] to obtain elements of interest for the investigation - reported an Argentinian police source to the "La Nacion" newspaper on Thursday morning.
"Page Six" reports that officers seized hotel computers, phones, and other devices. A source from "Us Weekly" revealed that the main goal of the police raid was to determine which employees worked on 16 October and in the previous days. There are also speculations that hotel employees allegedly acquired drugs for Payne and brought them in a Dove soap dish, which was found in the room at the time of the artist's death.
