TikTok returns: Trump's intervention delays US ban
Donald Trump announced an intervention regarding TikTok. Just a few hours later, news emerged that the popular app is in the process of restoring functionality in the USA.
The law banning TikTok in the United States caused a significant stir. Allegedly, it is related to national security concerns because the app is Chinese-owned. Later that same day, Donald Trump, who is soon to assume the office of President of the United States, announced his intention to intervene. He also stated that he would issue an order on Monday regarding TikTok, which would suspend the court's decision for three months.
The 90-day extension is something that will be most likely done, because it’s appropriate. If I decide to do that, I’ll probably announce it on Monday - he said in an interview with NBC.
