Sony revs up Gran Turismo 7 with significant update: New cars and tracks
Sony is preparing a significant update for the iconic racing title Gran Turismo 7. The update will include new virtual cars, additional tracks, and even changes in driving physics.
Update 1.49 is approaching quickly. Players will be able to download it on Thursday, July 25. However, we already know what to expect. The changes are more than just cosmetic.
With updates, the console title will gain primarily new cars—six. These are the Subaru Impreza GC8, Ferrari F430 Scuderia, BMW E36 M3, Ruf RGT 4.2, Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, and Genesis X Gran Racer VGT Concept.
But it won't stop at cars. Players will also gain access to the virtual Eiger Nordwand track, located in the mountains of Switzerland. This location is known as Gran Turismo 6, refreshed for the newest edition.
A big novelty is also the availability of Michelin tires on the list of upgrades, enhancing vehicle capabilities and changing driving physics. It's worth mentioning that Sony has also worked on the behavior of virtual rivals utilizing artificial intelligence.
How does it work in practice? We'll find out by the end of the month.
