It's hard to imagine a functioning kitchen without essential kitchen gadgets like a frying pan, cutting board, rolling pin, or meat tenderiser. Of course, these are just a few useful tools that make kitchen work easier.

Among these tools is a kitchen strainer. And that's exactly what I want to focus on today. Why? Because very little is needed for even a very small kitchen gadget to serve us on a much larger scale.

A small strainer holds great potential

Do you have a small strainer in the kitchen that is sometimes, due to its size, difficult to handle? For example, when you try to place it on a large bowl, it's almost impossible because of the gadget's size. In this case, the small strainer is unstable on the edges of a large dish and just slides to the centre. Does this make it useless? Not necessarily.

Until recently, I struggled with this too. However, it turns out that very little is needed to change the situation for the better. Simply combine the small strainer with another kitchen tool, and in no time, you will expand the utility of this gadget. How? Let me explain!

Brilliant hack with the strainer as the main feature

The key to success here is a seemingly insignificant spoon, which can be found in every home. This means no additional expenses. Furthermore, the entire hack is so simple and quick that, literally within seconds, you will expand the utility of a small strainer. You don't need any special cooking skills for this.

You've likely noticed a small protrusion on the small strainer. You may have wondered what it could be used for. As it turns out, it will be useful today. All you need to do is thread a small spoon through it. Naturally, we use the thin end of the spoon for this purpose. The broader part should be in direct contact with the strainer. And that's it. Thanks to this secure setting, you've created a stable structure that you can confidently use even on the surface of a large dish.

As you can see, very little is required for a small strainer to be more frequently useful in the kitchen. Do write to me and let me know what you think of this solution. Or perhaps you know other kitchen hacks that you'd like to share? I'd love to learn new tricks, as I always say, it's never too late to learn in the kitchen.
