Musk's shifting stance: From Ukrainian ally to critic

Recently, Elon Musk has become known for a series of unfavourable statements about Ukraine and its president. Internet users reminded him of a post he made on platform X right after the conflict broke out, which expressed support for Ukraine.

Musk, through his statements, is supporting the U.S. president, who recently adopted a strategy of discussing peace in Ukraine without Kyiv's involvement.

Three years ago, right after the conflict in Ukraine erupted, Elon Musk posted a message on platform X in support of the Ukrainians. "Maintain a strong Ukraine" - he wrote at the time. Internet users are now reminding the billionaire of his past social media post, questioning what has changed since then.

"Russia went too far 3 years ago, now the Ukrainian government has gone too far" - Musk stated in response. "Endless death in trenches is wrong and anyone who continues to push that lacks both empathy and a brain" - he added.

The Trump administration strikes at Zelensky

Donald Trump and his administration have been publicly criticising Volodymyr Zelensky for several days.

Elon Musk himself stated that the Ukrainians dislike President Zelensky and that is why Volodymyr Zelensky refuses to hold elections. The billionaire also supports Trump's approach of sidelining Zelensky in discussions about ending the conflict.

In a post on TruthSocial, Trump sharply criticised Volodymyr Zelensky, calling him a "dictator without elections" and urging swift action, "or else he won’t have a country." The U.S. president also accused the Ukrainian leader of dragging the USA into a "war that cannot be won."

National Security Adviser Mike Waltz was asked about these comments on FoxNews. In response, Waltz explained that Trump intends to end this conflict, but all parties must be involved for that to happen.

Vice President J.D. Vance, meanwhile, criticised Zelensky for his public remarks about Donald Trump, calling them "a terrible way" to handle relations with the U.S. administration.
