Shooter on the run: Two dead at Belgorod military base

Two people were killed in a shooting in Belgorod at a military deployment point. According to information posted on Telegram, the attacker is a 27-year-old Russian citizen. After the attack, he fled, and he likely crossed into Ukraine.

Panic in Russia. The local services are searching for a 29-year-old man named Aleksei. The man from Chuvashia participated in the shooting at a military facility in the Belgorod region on the evening of 11 July. According to rzn.info, citing sources on the Telegram channel, he is the main suspect in the usage of the weapon. The shooting resulted in two deaths and one injury.

Initially, it was assumed that the shooter took a Kalashnikov machine gun and 70 rounds of ammunition with him, but the weapon was probably found not far from the scene. The reason for the attack is still unknown. It is suspected that it may have stemmed from personal disputes.

The search for the man in the Belgorod region is ongoing. An alert has been issued, and the services are doing everything possible to capture him. However, this will not be simple, as 29-year-old Aleksei may have crossed into Ukrainian territory, where the capabilities of the Russian authorities are significantly limited due to the ongoing war. Shootings in Russia are common. This is hardly surprising, given that many citizens are raised with the cult of strength and aggression.
