The ATESH unit reported the discovery on Telegram. According to the report, the training takes place at a facility belonging to the 810th Marine Infantry Brigade.

Military trucks have been seen in the area, transporting individuals who appear unfamiliar to the local residents.

"Moreover, at this same training ground, shooting events for teenagers occur from time to time. Russians are using children as human shields, attempting to protect their army and mercenaries from attacks," ATESH states.

Mercenaries from North Korea

In addition to mercenaries from African countries and Cuba, Russia is also training soldiers from North Korea within the 810th Marine Infantry Brigade.

Information about the first clashes between Ukrainian forces and North Korean soldiers was confirmed by Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov. In an interview with South Korean broadcaster KBS, he stated that a "small-scale" clash had occurred, but he declined to provide details concerning the time and place of the skirmish.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asserted that "The first battles with North Korean soldiers mark a new chapter of global instability." However, he disclosed no further details about the confrontations.

At the end of October, US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin reported that 10,000 North Korean soldiers are stationed in Russia, including 8,000 in the Kursk region, where Ukraine launched an offensive in August this year. According to Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR), there are already 11,000 North Koreans in the Kursk region.
