Russian missile strike devastates nine-storey residential building

The Russian army conducted a missile attack on Dnipro. One of the missiles hit a nine-storey residential building. One person is dead, and several others were injured.

Local media reported explosions in Dnipro. "The enemy attacked," wrote the governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Serhiy Lysak. The Russians shelled the city. One of the missiles hit a nine-storey residential building.

As a result of the attack, four floors were destroyed, and the fifth was damaged. A rescue and evacuation operation has begun. Many people were under the rubble.

According to the services, at least one person was killed. Twelve others were injured, including a 7-month-old baby and a pregnant woman. Several people are in serious condition.

Zelensky: We need an air shield

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on Facebook that this tragedy should remind everyone that "only a sufficient quantity and quality of air defence systems, only sufficient determination from the world can stop Russian terror."

"We need these solutions - we need a reliable air shield for Ukraine," emphasised Zelensky.
