Russia constructs new hangars to shield bombers from Ukrainian attacks
Russians have begun constructing hangars at airfields 300 kilometres from the Ukrainian border, according to the NGO "Ukrainian Military Center" on platform X. Satellite images of the Marynovka airfield revealed this.

Satellite images of the Marynovka airfield, located in the Volgograd region of Russia, 300 kilometres from the Ukrainian border, unveiled the construction of new hangars.
You can see 12 new hangars that provide shelter for Su-24 bombers and Su-34 bombers.
"Ukrainian Military Center" emphasizes that the Russians are counting on the hangars to protect aircraft from drone attacks and ATACMS ballistic missiles.
However, the materials of the hangars are unknown. In the past, aviation shelters installed in the territory of the Russian Federation were covered with profiled sheets. However, this solution does not guarantee adequate protection as these sheets are not thick enough.
Due to the lack of specialized stationary reinforced concrete shelters, the Russian Air Force continually suffers losses as a result of Ukrainian drone and missile attacks.
