  • At least 31 people were killed in Israeli attacks on Lebanon on Monday, according to the Ministry of Health in Beirut. Israel also targeted sites in Syria. On Monday, media outlets reported progress in the negotiations for a ceasefire in Lebanon. Reports suggest that Israel and Lebanon have agreed to the American proposal, and a truce may be announced in the coming days.
  • In just three months, between July and September, 957 women and 315 children were murdered in South Africa, General of Police Norman Sekhukhune reported on Monday at a press conference after publishing the latest crime statistics. This data indicates that during this period in South Africa, more than three children and ten women were murdered each day. The South African police admitted that although the overall number of murders decreased nationwide, the most serious crimes committed against women have been increasing year by year.
  • The special prosecutor, Jack Smith's team, has filed requests to withdraw federal charges against Donald Trump. These charges relate to attempts to remain in power and the retention of classified documents. The prosecution referred to a legal opinion from the Department of Justice, stating that a sitting president cannot be prosecuted.
