Royal family tensions resurface as Harry and William meet after year

There have been discussions of strained relations between the Sussexes and other members of the British royal family for several years now. The alleged conflict between Prince William and Prince Harry intensified in 2020 when the younger prince and his wife decided to officially step down from their royal duties and move to the United States. The path to mending family relations was also undoubtedly obstructed by explosive interviews in the American media, as well as a documentary in which Harry and Meghan eagerly criticised the royals. Despite King Charles III’s sons having had several opportunities over the past few years to resolve their differences, no reconciliation has taken place. Whenever the princes crossed paths during significant ceremonies, foreign tabloids reported on their avoiding each other like the plague and having exceptionally cold interactions.

According to the latest findings of British tabloids, Prince William and Prince Harry had the opportunity to meet for the first time in over a year. On Wednesday, 29 August, in Snettisham, Norfolk, they attended their uncle Robert Fellowes' funeral. Although a few weeks ago reports suggested that the younger prince "most likely would not attend the ceremony," the plans changed.

"The Sun" reported that Prince Harry flew to the UK and took part in the Wednesday service in honour of Lord Robert Fellowes. Prince William was also present at St. Mary’s Church in Snettisham, Norfolk. According to the tabloid’s reports, the estranged brothers "kept their distance". They were seen at the back of the church.
