Revealing the fizzy drink hack for a sparkling clean toilet
Cleaning toilets may not be the most pleasant of household chores, yet it's essential. Discover straightforward methods to tackle this task swiftly and without the need for scrubbing. Surprisingly, a certain well-known beverage can be quite effective for this purpose.
The popular drink will also work great during cleaning.
Maintaining a clean toilet is crucial, primarily for hygiene, but also for aesthetic reasons. Since the toilet bowl is constantly filled with water, limescale and dirty marks tend to accumulate in it.
Therefore, regular cleaning of the toilet is important, even though many would agree it’s far from their favourite task. Utilizing a very simple technique can expedite the cleaning process without the need for excessive scrubbing.
How to clean the toilet with cola?
Although various preparations for cleaning toilets are available in stores, they can be pricey and potentially harmful. Hence, it is advisable to consider more economical and equally effective solutions.
A popular cola-type drink could be surprisingly useful due to its content of citric acid and phosphoric acid, making it an excellent cleaning agent for the toilet. Simply pour the drink over the toilet bowl's sides, and after an hour, brush the bowl, flush, and it should be clean. This method effectively removes limescale and yellow stains.
How to clean the toilet? A homemade descaler
Vinegar and citric acid are highly effective in cleaning toilets. If limescale forms beneath the water's surface, it's a good idea to sprinkle baking soda into the bowl as well.
You can also create a simple and efficient descaler using kitchen products. Mix about 80ml of baking soda or cleansing soda, roughly 120ml of citric acid, a few drops of your preferred essential oil, and a couple of tablespoons of water. Spoon the paste into ice cube trays and freeze to form cubes. Simply drop one into the toilet and after approximately 15 minutes, flush, leaving your toilet looking as good as new.
