Donald Trump met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the White House on Monday. The primary topic of conversation was the ongoing war in Ukraine.
The President of the USA declared that he could bring the war in Ukraine to an end "within the next few weeks."
When asked whether Ukraine should surrender part of its territory to Russia as part of a peace agreement, Trump responded, "We'll see."
Trump's meeting with Zelensky: questions about Putin arise
During the leaders' meeting with journalists, a question was raised about Putin.
"You called Zelensky a dictator. Would you use the same term for Putin?" a journalist asked Trump.
"I don't use such words recklessly. We'll see what happens..." responded the American President.
Yet it was Macron's reaction that caught the attention of internet users. As soon as Trump began answering the question, the French President seemed to contemplate how to react. Then he smiled nervously, attempting to conceal his genuine emotions. When Trump was discussing ending the war and peace, Macron nodded.
Macron's visit to Washington

"Europe is prepared to provide Ukraine with security guarantees," said the President of France, Emmanuel Macron.
The French President stated that Europeans are ready to deploy troops to Ukraine to ensure peace is maintained. He added that frozen Russian assets would be a topic for discussion regarding peace.
