Garden pools enjoy consistent popularity. Nowadays, you can even buy them in supermarkets. Depending on the size, you will spend from £70 to even £350. It's a fantastic alternative to a classic swimming pool, but it has drawbacks.

Before the water warms up, it can take several to even over a dozen hours. Many people decide to buy a water heater, but this involves a significant expense. However, there is a much cheaper alternative.

Buying a pool is just the beginning of the adventure. First, you need to set it up, fill it with water, and wait for it to warm up. This process can take from a dozen to several dozen hours, sometimes even a few days.

Many people buy an electric water heater, which costs from £50 to £200. However, there is a much cheaper alternative. You only need three things: a hula hoop, a pool noodle, and a large black garbage bag.

How to do it? Cut the pool noodle into four equal parts. Take a knife and make a deep slit on one side of each part. Place them on the hula-hoop ring and attach them with tape. Stretch the garbage bag over the ring as tightly as possible.

Place the prepared heater in the middle of the pool. The black bag will "attract" the sun's rays, making the water heat up much faster. If you are short on time, use several heaters. Within a few hours, the water will become pleasantly warm.

The water in the pool requires regular replacement. Over time, dirt appears in it, causing it to become cloudy. However, there is a way to clean it a bit without refilling the pool.

How do you clean the pool water? Get some pure ascorbic acid. You can buy it in any pharmacy. You need 60 grams of acid for each 1000 litre of water. Add it directly to the pool and wait a moment. After a few minutes, you will notice that the water becomes crystal clear.
