Neymar's Bold Move: From Player to Owner to Rescue Santos FC

Last summer, Neymar made a surprising decision to move to Saudi Arabia. The star transferred from Paris Saint-Germain to Al-Hilal, but his time on the field was limited. The 32-year-old tore his cruciate ligaments and nearly had to write off the entire season.

The famous Brazilian is currently undergoing rehabilitation. With ample free time, he soon appeared in his homeland. There, he watched a Santos FC match, where he began his career, sparking a surprising rumour among the media.

Neymar to buy his former club?

Neymar reportedly entered the team's locker room and announced there his intention to return to Santos in the near future, likely around 2025 when his impressive contract with Al-Hilal ends. However, there's another twist, as the media delivered another surprising detail.

Brazilian media report that Neymar is interested in purchasing the renowned club. The star aims to be both a player and owner of Santos, which could be the salvation of the struggling team.

Santos FC recently fell to the second division for the first time in its history. The club faces severe financial challenges, with debts estimated at £110 million.

Initially, Neymar would focus on playing, but he plans to take over the club's management upon retiring. His father, who remains heavily involved in managing his son's career, would assist him in this endeavour.

Therefore, the 32-year-old may follow in the footsteps of Ronaldo. The legendary Brazilian recently acquired 90 percent of the shares in Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte. Not only did he pull the club out of financial difficulties, but he also got promoted to the top Brazilian flight after a few months.
