Protesters chanted, "Shame on you!" which forced Netanyahu to interrupt his speech shortly after it began.

The event occurred at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Western Jerusalem and was broadcast live nationwide.

Citizens blame the Prime Minister

A significant portion of Israelis blame Netanyahu for intelligence and military failures before the Hamas attack and for not yet freeing the hostages held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

In the attack carried out by Hamas on 7 October 2023, about 1,200 people died, and 251 were kidnapped. In response, Israel launched an offensive in the Gaza Strip, governed by Hamas. According to local authorities, the war actions have already killed over 1,655 Palestinians.
