On Telegram, the account of a Russian woman surfaced, describing how she narrowly escaped death at a concert near Moscow. Irina got to the concert and before she even stepped into the auditorium, she heard gunfire - a moment that saved her life. The Islamic State of the Khorasan province claimed responsibility for the gruesome attack.

An attack unfolded at the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk, near Moscow, on a Friday. Armed assailants opened fire on the crowd, and an explosion followed. A fire ensued, leading to the building's roof caving in. Nearly 140 people lost their lives, with around 200 sustaining injuries.

Irina, staying low to avoid the chaos, thought initially that pyrotechnics had gone awry. As the crowd around her surged in panic, she fell but quickly regained her footing. Driven by instinct, she joined the mass fleeing up the stairs towards the escalator, miraculously escaping the unfolding horror.
Inside, the acoustics made it seem like attackers were firing on the second floor too, sparking widespread panic. Some sought refuge in toilets, behind bars, or amidst furniture - any cover from the relentless attackers seemed a beacon of hope.
Caught in the fleeing crowd, Irina managed to make her way to the building's lobby, where the grim reality hit her - bodies strewn across the floor induced a profound sense of fear. She recounted feeling like she spent an eternity in the venue, though, in reality, she left shortly after the attackers.
Vladimir Putin points fingers at Ukraine
Despite the Islamic State of the Khorasan province claiming the attack, originating from the harsh terrains of Afghanistan, Vladimir Putin pointedly blamed Ukraine for the incident. In his address, he highlighted the centuries-long battle against the extremist ideology, subtly weaving in suspicions towards Kyiv without direct accusations, questioning the attackers' intended flight to Ukraine post-attack.
This narrative by Putin adds another layer to the incident, directing international suspicions towards Kyiv amidst a tragic event that shook the world.
