This potentially dangerous incident occurred on Saturday morning. At that time, the passenger plane from Utair flying from Turkey to Grozny almost landed on a still closed runway where construction was ongoing.

The pilots decided to abort the landing at the last moment when they realised that the Boeing 737-800 could not safely touch down.

They were about to land. Pilots reacted at the last moment

Recordings of the incident have spread on the internet. They show the plane attempting to land, getting lower every second. It passes by an excavator and the entire construction site, then suddenly begins to ascend again.

As it turned out, the aircraft was supposed to land on a nearby runway, but due to a mistake, the manoeuvre was initiated over the runway still under construction. The second attempt, this time on the correct runway, was carried out without any problems.

Nevertheless, the incident raised significant concerns about the safety of air traffic in that region.

Below is a recording of the incident.
