"Over the past eight years, those who want to stop us from achieving this future have slandered me, impeached me, indicted me, tried to throw me off the ballot, and who knows, maybe even tried to kill me," said former President Donald Trump on Saturday during a rally at the site of the first attempt on his life—Butler, Pennsylvania. The billionaire Elon Musk, who was with Trump, suggested that if Trump loses, these would be the last elections in America.
The Saturday rally—one of the largest in the current campaign—was attended by billionaire Elon Musk, who made his first appearance at a candidate's election rally.
Musk's frenzies on stage
Elon Musk rushed onto the stage and jumped, clenching his fists in the air. He was practically electrified on the stage. "The true test of one’s character is how they behave under fire… America is the home of the brave," he said to the crowd, alluding to the attempt on Donald Trump's life.
"We had one president who couldn't climb a flight of stairs and another who was fist pumping after getting shot," he told the crowd.
The owner of platform X stated that the current elections are "the most important election of our lifetime" because "the other side wants to take away your freedom of speech" and the right to bear arms. He also encouraged people to register and vote.
"If they don’t [do this], this will be the last election. That’s my prediction. Nothing’s more important," he declared.
Trump announces, "Musk to lead a Special Commission"
Musk openly endorsed Trump in the elections right after the attempt in Butler and continually supports his campaign both financially (over £76 million) and through posts on Twitter. Trump also announced that if he wins the elections, he will place Musk at the head of a special commission ("state efficiency commission") to develop a budget-cut plan.
A photo of Trump with Musk after the rally was also published on social media.
Besides Elon Musk, special guests included members of the family of Trump supporter Corey Comperatore, who was killed by the assailant in Butler, and vice-presidential candidate JD Vance.
