Military vehicle collision results in tragic loss of lives in Serbia

A tragic event occurred in central Serbia, resulting in the loss of five lives, including three children. Local authorities have already detained the driver of the military vehicle. The exact circumstances of the incident are not yet known.

The tragedy took place on Saturday, 21 September, shortly after 7:00 AM GMT near the town of Kraljevo. As a result of the horrific accident, five people died, three of whom were children.

All of them were passengers in the car that was hit by the military vehicle. It is also known that one of the accident participants is in a serious condition.

The Serbian Ministry of Defence has already commented on the tragedy. It was reported that the accident occurred "during routine duties" when the military gendarmerie was escorting a self-propelled mobile anti-aircraft system.

Tragedy in Serbia. Investigation launched

The Ministry of Defence stated that an investigation was being conducted into this accident. Consequently, the military vehicle driver was detained for 48 hours.

The Serbian broadcaster RTS reports that there are grounds to suspect that the man "committed a serious offence against public transport safety."

For now, the circumstances of this event are unclear. What exactly led to the tragic accident is unknown.
