Hellish scenes in Mexico City. Demonstrators threw stones at the Israeli embassy building in the capital of Mexico and then set it on fire. Participants in the aggressive demonstrations are protesting against the Israeli military operation in Palestinian Rafah.

Scenes from Mexico have circulated the world. Masked demonstrators participating in the "Urgent Action for Rafah" event threw stones on Tuesday (28/05) at the Israeli diplomatic complex in the Lomas de Chapultepec district in Mexico City. AFP journalists reported that the situation began to escalate with every moment.

Then Molotov cocktails were used. Opponents of the Israeli military offensive set fire to parts of buildings belonging to the Israeli embassy.

Although the number of protesters is small (authorities estimate about 200 people participated), their aggression has already caused significant damage. The fence that protected the Israeli embassy from outsiders was utterly devastated, among other things.

Burned embassy, attacked police officers

The crowd also attacked the police officers who arrived on the scene to maintain order. The authorities were pelted with stones. Mexican media reported that several officers were injured. It is known that the police had to use tear gas to calm the enraged demonstrators.

Aggressive protesters are demanding a complete cessation of operations in Rafah and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the Gaza Strip. It should be noted that the situation regarding the actions of the Israeli government and the decisions of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is intensifying daily.

An example is the decision of Karim Khan, the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague. He announced that he would seek to prosecute the Prime Minister of Israel with an international arrest warrant. Investigators accuse Netanyahu of being responsible for war crimes in the Gaza Strip.
