Mango is often called the "king of fruits" or "fruit of youth." It tempts with its taste and attracts with its unique fragrance. Who among us hasn’t dreamed of a juicy piece of this exotic fruit on a hot day? But mango is more than just a delicious snack. Its beneficial effect on the skin makes it a real treasure in natural skincare.
Mango for health
Few people know that mango is a treasure trove of nutrients, minerals, and vitamins from groups A, C, and E, which support cell regeneration. Regular consumption of this fruit can contribute to improving skin elasticity and its quick hydration, which in turn reduces wrinkles.
Mango also greatly improves the condition of hair and nails and benefits our immune system. Furthermore, it is rich in antioxidants that protect cells from the harmful effects of free radicals.
It's truly a treasure among fruits. Mango is rich in dietary fibre, helps maintain a healthy digestive system, and can support blood sugar control, which is important for health-conscious individuals. Interestingly, due to its unique taste and nutritional values, mango also has its place in traditional Ayurvedic medicine. It is considered a fruit that brings harmony to the body and mind.
Drink this beverage, and your skin will thank you
Mango can be served in various forms. One of the most popular drinks using it is the Indian "mango lassi." It pairs excellently as an accompaniment to spicy dishes and quenches thirst wonderfully. Consumed regularly, this drink hydrates the skin magnificently and improves its condition. To make "mango lassi," you will need one to two ripe mangoes, around 480 millilitres of natural yoghurt, 120 millilitres of cold water, and a tablespoon of honey.
Pour the natural yoghurt into a container and add the peeled, diced mango (if you can't find fresh mango, you can use mango pulp available in supermarkets). Add a tablespoon of honey and water. Mix everything with a blender until smooth and creamy. Pour into a glass. The drink can be served with chopped nuts or almonds. A fresh mint leaf will beautifully complement the whole thing. It’s best to chill in the refrigerator before serving.
