Alexander Lukashenko claims that someone advised him to turn his back on Russia and side with Ukraine. "The lunatics in the West are preparing against us," he warned.

Many of the pieces of information provided by Belarusian media or government representatives are part of propaganda. These reports are part of the information warfare conducted by the Russian Federation.

We live in difficult times. I'm not talking about the war to our south. Those lunatics in the West are preparing against us," stated Alexander Lukashenko, who participated in the meeting of the Republican Pedagogical Council.

"We are advised, we are being told from the sidelines: 'Let's retreat here, let go there,'" said Lukashenko, who claimed he was persuaded to turn against Russia and side with Ukraine, and even to introduce NATO troops to Smolensk. "That's how far it's gone. Today, I am receiving offers from all sides, 99% of which we cannot accept," he said.

He did not reveal, however, who made these proposals. He emphasized that although Belarus might seem small, it plays a significant role on the international stage. He also added that strengthening cooperation with Russia is essential for the country's future.

Belarus sends additional forces to the border

At the same time, a week ago, Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence of Belarus Andrey Lukyanovich stated on state television that additional air defence forces, aircraft, and other types of military equipment were sent to the border with Ukraine – reported the Reuters agency.
