Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal called on the United States Congress to pass the stalled foreign aid bill and warned of the consequences of Ukraine's defeat - reports the BBC. The US House of Representatives is set to vote on the aid package this coming Saturday. The proposal also includes funding for Israel and the Indo-Pacific. Kyiv is to receive £54 billion. "We need this money yesterday, not tomorrow, not today," said the Ukrainian prime minister.
"If we do not protect Ukraine, it will fall," added Shmyhal. "And then the entire global safety system will be destroyed, and the world will have to craft a new security system. In another scenario, after the fall of Kyiv, Denys Shmyhal predicts the outbreak of many conflicts, which could eventually lead to World War III. "Either there will be many conflicts, many such wars, and eventually, it may lead to World War III," the politician told the BBC.
