Katy perry releases a new album

20th September was a rather special day for Katy Perry. That was when her seventh studio album, "143", was released. Unfortunately, the album received not very positive feedback from netizens and even the singer’s fans. After the first single, there were speculations that the production would be a huge flop. These assumptions were partly confirmed. Katy’s new album was the worst thing she has created in her entire career.

Is the singer's album a flop?

The failure of Katy Perry's new album is evidenced not only by the negative opinions of netizens and her fans but also by the general reviews given by music critics. The album is the worst-rated production of this year. Additionally, on the release day, songs from "143" did not appear on any hit playlist on Spotify both in the USA and worldwide.

Many netizens complain about "a desperate attempt to merge all the currently trending genres into one song". Additionally, they note that the lyrics are dull, and the recent scandals involving the artist definitely do not help promote the album. Someone else stated: "Katy is stuck in the last decade; this album is repetitive and bland". Of course, there are also positive feedback about the album on social media, but they are definitely less than the amount of criticism.
