For over a month, foreign media have speculated about a marriage crisis between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. Although the famous couple has yet to comment on the troubling reports, "Daily Mail" claims that the divorce is expected to be announced any day. According to the portal In Touch Weekly, Lopez plans to move to New York City, something she has been trying to convince Affleck to do for some time. Though it is unknown if she plans to live there permanently, she is undoubtedly planning to escape the tense atmosphere between her and her husband, which she feels in Los Angeles.

Even before things went totally south with Ben she was pushing for a full-time move to New York, and now she's decided to go ahead with that after the split. She'll probably keep a place in L.A. but she needs to get away from all the noise and the scrutiny on the West Coast - an informant from In Touch Weekly revealed.

What will happen to Jennifer’s children when she moves to New York City is already known. Considering the city's opportunities, Emma and Maximilian will move with their mother, from which they will benefit.

"There's nothing to stop her from taking the kids and making a fresh start back in New York," the insider said. "They've got plenty of schools back east, and she's got a great social circle there" - the source added.

The same informant reports that Jennifer chose New York City as the destination for her move because it was there that Lopez lived with her former fiancé Alex Rodriguez. The couple broke up in April 2021, and to this day, the showbiz world says that when the singer was with the baseball player, she was "in her element." Going through a crisis with Ben, she "starts to miss what she had with him". It is worth mentioning, however, that Rodriguez has been in a relationship with Canadian fitness instructor Jaclyn Cordeiro since October 2022.
