Italian surfer Giulia Manfrini killed in swordfish attack
Shocking information. A 36-year-old surfer and influencer from Italy has died. The tragedy occurred while she was surfing off the coast of Masokut Island, near Sumatra in Indonesia. Giulia Manfrini was fatally attacked by a swordfish.

Tragic scenes unfolded off the coast of Masokut Island. Giulia Manfrini was attacked by a swordfish. At one point, it unexpectedly leapt out of the water and pierced her chest with its "sword."
Italian media reported that Manfrini suffered a five-centimetre wound as a result of the horrific incident. Eyewitnesses, two surfers, immediately began to assist and transported the injured woman to a medical facility. Unfortunately, her life could not be saved.
Manfrini was from Venaria Reale in the Piedmont region of Italy. Although she was originally a snowboard instructor, she turned her passion to surfing after suffering an injury. She moved to Bali, where she developed her surfing skills and started a travel agency.

Indonesian authorities plan to transport Giulia Manfrini's body by boat to the port in Padang, from where it will be sent to Italy.
