Iran's unprecedented strike on Israel condemned by European leaders
The echoes of Iran's overnight attack on Israel have not subsided. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen condemned the Iranian army's actions on Sunday morning. She also called for restraint from the parties involved in the conflict.

Iran launched over 300 drones and missiles at Israel overnight, of which 99% were intercepted, which is a "significant strategic success," the Israeli military said on Sunday morning. The strike lasted five hours. "This is the largest drone attack in history," writes CNN.
The attack by Iran was condemned on Sunday morning by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. In a post published on social media, she also called for restraint from the conflicting parties.
"I strongly condemn Iran's blatant and unjustified attack on Israel. And I call on Iran and its proxies to immediately cease these attacks," wrote von der Leyen on platform X, appealing for "restoring stability in the region".
Macron warns of destabilizing the region
French President Emmanuel Macron has also spoken, emphasizing that Paris is working with its partners to de-escalate the situation and calls for restraint.
"I condemn in the strongest terms the unprecedented attack launched by Iran against Israel, which threatens to destabilize the region," wrote Macron on the portal X. The French President expressed solidarity with the people of Israel, as well as France's commitment to the security of that country and stabilizing the region.
Israeli Prime Minister delivers a national address
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, shortly after the news that Iran had launched kamikaze drones toward Israel, delivered a national address. "Together we will stand and with G-d's help – together we will overcome all of our enemies," he declared.
