As "The Jerusalem Post" reported, the Iranian military could soon receive Su-35 fighter jets from Russia. These machines would help Tehran in the conflict with Israel.

"The Jerusalem Post" cites reports from Iran's Student News Network. However, the newspaper notes that the information about the transfer of Russian fighters quickly disappeared from the agency's pages.

Notably, information about Russia possibly supporting Iranian aviation had already appeared earlier. Iranian media reported about 30 machines that Tehran was about to buy from Moscow.

Now there's information that Russia would pay the Russian fighters for delivering its Shahed drones, which Putin's army uses in Ukraine. A transaction date was also mentioned. According to "The Jerusalem Post," the first batch of Su-35s could be delivered to Iran this week.

Will Russia support Iran? The conflict with Israel in the background

The Defence Security Asia portal assesses that if these reports are confirmed and Iran receives about 30 fighters, its air operation capabilities will significantly increase.

The service recalls that this would be especially significant during the ongoing conflict with Israel. Tehran expects that Israel could carry out a potential response to the latest attack from Iran from the air.
