The iconic house from the movie "Home Alone" has been put up for sale, according to tmz.com. The property, located in Winnetka, near Chicago, Illinois, has been priced at £4.2 million.

Millions of people worldwide watched this 1990 film. Eight-year-old Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) is left home alone and faced with two burglars (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) who plan to rob the villa while the family is abroad for Christmas.

The burglars did not anticipate dealing with a resourceful boy and the traps he had set.

The real property that "played" the McCallisters' house is now available. The house was renovated and expanded in 2018. The current owners have lived in it for 12 years, having bought the iconic house for £1.3 million.

The house has five bedrooms and six bathrooms, a cinema, and a gym. A few years ago, renting a home for one night through Airbnb was possible.
