Hezbollah rockets escalate tensions with Israel amid rising conflict
Hezbollah fired over a hundred rockets towards Israel from Lebanese territory. Several of them fell near the city of Haifa in the north of the country, informed the Israeli military. Israel responded with a massive attack on Hezbollah targets.

"At night, 'several suspicious flying objects,' which were intercepted, approached Israel also from Iraq," emphasised the Israeli army in a statement. Simultaneously, a message was provided about a counter-attack on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon in response to Sunday's attack.
The exchange of fire between Israeli forces and the Iranian-backed Lebanese Hezbollah has been ongoing for months, recently increasing in intensity.
They promised revenge
Hezbollah also reported on Sunday via the Telegram app that rockets were fired towards the Ramat David airbase in northern Israel.
The rockets were launched in response to Israel's Friday attack on targets in the capital of Lebanon, Beirut, in which, according to the latest information from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, at least 45 people were killed, including Ibrahim Akil, the top commander of Hezbollah's elite unit – Radwan. Additionally, on Saturday, Israeli air forces conducted intense air raids on southern Lebanon, attacking about 320 targets.
Earlier, the Lebanon-based organisation promised revenge on Israel in connection with two waves of coordinated electronic device explosions targeting Hezbollah, in which a total of at least 39 people were killed and over 3,300 were injured.
Increased Hezbollah activity
In a statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), it was reported that Hezbollah increased its activities in the border area. Israel's response was intense air raids on targets in southern Lebanon aimed at preventing further attacks.
The armed actions between Israel and Hezbollah are part of a long-standing conflict that regularly escalates, increasing the risk of another war in the region.
