Asian-style pork tenderloin: Modern twist on a classic dish

What should you make for a family dinner that is delicious without spending too much time in the kitchen? My first suggestion is a tenderloin, which I marinate in advance. This makes it tender, adds an oriental note, and ensures it disappears quickly from the plates.

Pork tenderloin is a popular type of meat in European cuisine. We use it in aromatic sauces, stews, and also roast it whole. We generally use traditional spices for pork, such as paprika, garlic, and oregano. Therefore, preparing it in an Asian style can surprise your guests or family.

Tenderloin: A delicious and healthy choice

Pork tenderloin is a very delicate, tender, and lean meat. It contains easily digestible protein. It is also rich in vitamin B12, which supports the production of red blood cells and the functioning of the nervous system. Another important component is zinc, which is essential for the proper functioning of the circulatory system, stabilising blood pressure, and having a positive impact on immunity. What else do we appreciate about it? Pork tenderloin is low in fat, containing 3.5 grams of fat per 100 grams.

Marinating the tenderloin

Pork tenderloin is delicate, so it quickly absorbs flavours, making it perfect for marinating. How do you give it an oriental taste? Prepare a marinade based on soy sauce. It's a staple in Asian cuisine, adding even more umami flavour to meat dishes. Combine it with sesame oil, honey, garlic, and ginger for a deeper flavour, resulting in juicy and tender meat. It's best to immerse the tenderloin in the marinade for several hours. Then you need only bake it for about 30 minutes.

  3. Place the container with the tenderloin in the refrigerator for a few hours.
  4. Remove it from the refrigerator before baking so the meat reaches room temperature.
  5. Bake the tenderloin at 200 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes.
