Nutritionists have long recommended making homemade ice cream with natural yoghurts. The same goes for this recipe. Pistachios also provide a hefty dose of health benefits. They contain, among other things, Vitamins E, B6, C, potassium, phosphorus, zinc, magnesium, and folic acid. Like most nuts, they are also rich in omega-3 fatty acids.

Homemade pistachio ice cream - recipe

As mentioned, this healthy dessert requires only three simple ingredients. Their combination guarantees unforgettable taste experiences while eliminating guilt.


  • 35 grams unsalted pistachios,
  • 250 grams of natural yogurt,
  • 1.5 teaspoons honey.

Optional: dark chocolate or berries for garnishing.

Preparation method:

  1. Transfer the pistachios to a small bowl and cover with water. Set aside for about an hour. After this time, drain them carefully and transfer them to a blender, setting aside a tablespoon of nuts.
  2. Next, add the natural yoghurt and honey to the blender. Blend everything into a smooth mixture.
  3. Finely chop the reserved pistachios, add them to the ice cream mixture, and then mix thoroughly.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a tightly sealed container and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Serve the dessert topped with dark chocolate or with berries.
