A club TV camera captured Erling Haaland during one of his first training sessions after his holiday. The Manchester City striker has begun preparing for a season where he aims to break scoring records in the Champions League and Premier League.
During his holiday, Erling Haaland shared a short video on social media of himself meditating on a stone protruding from a rushing stream. As it turns out, he did not limit himself to mental training in his homeland. He also maintained his physical strength by wielding an axe and chopping wood.
My father forced me, I didn't have a choice, said Erling Haaland with a gentle smile. He added that chopping wood in the mountains is the most "Norwegian activity" one can imagine.
Erling Haaland continues to project the image of a tough Viking from the far north. He does this despite spending a significant part of his holiday away from the wild nature of Norway. For instance, photos surfaced in the media showing him on a trip with friends to Spain.
The Norwegian had plenty of time to rest after the club season because the national team did not qualify for Euro 2024. Erling Haaland was a notable absentee from the tournament, which lasted a month in German stadiums.
Erling Haaland and his team-mates, who have also finished their holidays, are on tour in the United States. The Norwegian striker has much to prove with the season set to begin. Once tipped to win the Ballon d'Or, he can demonstrate that he is still making significant progress in his career.
