The comedian, presenter, and producer Ellen DeGeneres hasn't had much success in recent years. Scandals surrounding her show have been erupting more frequently. DeGeneres announced that she is fed up with fame. Her fans will soon have to say goodbye to her.

Ellen DeGeneres is currently touring the United States with her latest comedy show, which will be broadcast on Netflix at the end of this year. This marks her return to stand-up after a six-year hiatus following the show "Ellen DeGeneres: Relatable," which is available on the same platform.

During one of the performances, fans of the famous comedian were lucky enough to participate in a meeting where audience questions were asked. Someone asked about Ellen's potential return to cinema, referring to her excellent voice acting as Dory in "Finding Nemo." DeGeneres responded:

- I’m going bye-bye, remember. This is the last time you’re going to see me. After my Netflix special, I’m done.

Ellen DeGeneres' troubles

The original "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" was broadcast for nearly 20 years and became iconic on American TV. Many stars came to Ellen, who also knew and were friends with her personally. Not only did celebrities appear on the show, but also people who gained 15 minutes of fame online. The show had a great sense of what intrigued people and what was being discussed.

In 2020, reports began to surface that the producer allegedly mistreated employees, and the atmosphere on set was far from what the cameras showed. The star of the popular talk show was accused of bullying, and a special commission from WarnerMedia took up the matter.

The COVID-19 pandemic was tough for those working in the entertainment industry. In the early months of 2020, over 30 people working on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" as lighting technicians, cameramen, etc., were not informed by the production for over two weeks about what awaited them in the near future. Calls to producers yielded no results. Eventually, they were told only to prepare for 60 per cent pay cuts. The decision was made to take the show off the air.

Ellen DeGeneres responds to the allegations

The tour with the comedy show is an opportunity for Ellen to address the scandal surrounding the show and its employees. During one of the performances, she said:

- Let me catch you up on what's been going on with me since you last saw me. I got chickens. Oh yeah, and I got kicked out of show business for being mean. - Then she added: I am many things. But I am not mean.
