Effortless delight: Whip up a sublime caramel-butter wafer
Are you looking for an idea for a quick, delicious, and easy-to-prepare snack? I have just the thing for you. No one has ever enjoyed a wafer spread with caramel cream, and I bet that you'll be delighted with it, too!
Waffle with caramel filling - the best dessert in the world!
Sometimes I crave real culinary experiments. Then, I look for some interesting, original recipe (which I might still enrich, tweak, or just change something to my own taste) and spend long hours in the kitchen, only to be at the mercy or disapproval of a strict jury — my family. That's how it sometimes is. But not always. Because sometimes I follow the principle "less is more" and prepare a homemade wafer, the taste of which can't even be replaced by a complicated cake that bakes for many hours.
I could go on endlessly about the taste of this delicious treat, encouraging you with a range of poetic epithets and raving about its consistency. But why bother? The recipe is trivial, the ingredients are cheap as borscht, and the whole thing won't take too much time. Just implement the recipe below and enjoy the fantastic taste of caramel-butter wafer!
Caramel-Butter Homemade Wafer
Ingredients:
- 1 large package of wafer sheets,
- 250g of soft butter,
- 400g of caramel filling,
- 3 tablespoons of sour cream.
How to prepare:
1. Whip the warm butter until it’s fluffy. Do this at medium mixer speed. Don’t rush, be patient. Whipping the butter is practically all the work you'll have to put into this treat. It may take about 10 minutes.
2. Gradually add the caramel filling to the butter towards the end. Once it becomes a uniform mass, there's only one thing left: sour cream. Add it at the very end, spoonful by spoonful.
3. Layer the wafer sheets with the prepared caramel filling. The number of "floors"? That depends only on your imagination and needs.
4. Secure the wafer with plastic wrap and place it in the fridge. Press with something reasonably heavy so that the "cake" layers adhere well to each other.
5. The wafer should now spend 3-4 hours in the fridge, and it’s ready. Cut it into pieces and boldly dig in. Enjoy!
