Diddy's children denounce false rumours, advocate for mother's legacy
Since the death of Kim Porter, numerous conspiracy theories have emerged regarding the circumstances of Diddy's ex-wife's passing, and these speculations have only intensified. The rapper's children, from his relationship with Porter, are 26-year-old Christian and 17-year-old twins Jessie and D'Lila, and they have decided to address the matter in an extensive statement.
Diddy has been detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn for a week and is awaiting trial. Even a £40 million bail offer from his lawyers didn't suffice, as the court firmly rejected it. The rapper faces a 14-page indictment accusing him of extortion, human trafficking for intimate purposes, and organising the transport of young women forced into prostitution. These charges could result in a life sentence.

Amidst shocking reports of Diddy's alleged misdeeds, the internet is abuzz with speculations about further wrongdoings the disgraced star may have on his conscience. Conspiracy theorists suggest that the musician might have had something to do with the death of his children's mother, Kim Porter, who died suddenly in 2018 after battling lobar pneumonia. The parents of 26-year-old Christian and 17-year-old Jessie and D'Lila had an exceptionally tumultuous relationship, which has only fuelled greater suspicions.
Up until now, Diddy's children preferred not to comment on the shocking reports about their father and his criminal activities. However, on Tuesday evening, a week after the musician's arrest by federal agents, Christian, Jessie, and D'Lila decided to break their silence and publish an extensive statement online.
We have received numerous harmful and false rumours about our parents, about the relationship between Sean Combs and Kim Porter, and about the tragic death of our mum. We feel we need to speak out - the statement begins.
Let's recall that Porter and Diddy were in a relationship from 1994 to 2007. Rumour has it that a new book, supposedly Porter's memoirs, had surfaced, revealing that Combs allegedly subjected his partner to domestic violence. It also purportedly describes that the rapper "recorded his intercourse with a teenage pop star and sex parties with an Oscar winner and his wife." The 60-page book titled "Lost Words of Kim," supposedly a collection of Porter's diaries was allegedly set to be published by her acquaintances. The statement from Combs's children directly addressed this publication.
Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue - they emphasise. She did not, and anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves. Additionally, please understand that any so-called ‘friend’ speaking on behalf of our mom or her family is not a friend, nor do they have her best interests at heart. Our lives were shattered when we lost our mother. She was our world, and nothing has been the same since she passed.
In the later parts of the statement, the siblings addressed the rumours that Combs may have had a hand in their mother's death.
While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established - they emphasised.
"There was no foul play. Grief is a lifelong process, and we ask that everyone respect our request for peace as we continue to cope with her loss every day. We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives. Our mother should be remembered for the beautiful, strong, kind, and loving woman she was."
We ask that everyone please respect our mother, Kim Porter, and hold her legacy in high regard so that she may rest in peace. It’s what she deserves. We love you and miss you Mommy. Quincy, Christian, Jessie & D’Lila - they added at the end.
