Crispy mushrooms in cheese batter: The perfect snack
Preparing crispy mushrooms in batter is quick and works perfectly in almost any scenario. It's a solution for a "bigger hunger" or a snack for the party table. These mushrooms, coated in a cheese batter, taste fantastic with a light yoghurt-garlic or herb sauce and with vegetable spreads like pepper or beetroot.
The batter enriched with cheese heightens the overall flavour, while the thyme's aroma beautifully complements the mushroom notes. Mushrooms are full of umami flavour, which is truly delightful. In this version, they turn out flawless. For a crispy result, fry the mushrooms in deep oil. However, if you prefer to avoid fried foods, you can bake them in the oven for 10 minutes at a high temperature (around 200-230°C).
