Had enough of winter recipes? Craving something new and refreshing? Are you longing for spring and wish to bring it into your kitchen? You've come to the right place if you answered "yes" to the above questions.

In just a moment, you'll learn how to make an exquisite snack that is delightful in taste and appearance. When I serve it at home, guests are immediately eager to try it. There are many questions about the exact instructions, too, so you can be certain that the idea for "edible flowers" will also work for you.

Edible tulips

This snack fits perfectly into a spring menu, all thanks to its final effect—it looks like real tulips. And since flowers are associated with spring, there's no better idea to introduce an interesting form and vibrant colours into your kitchen.

What's more, preparing this delicious snack is incredibly easy. The list of ingredients is also very short, relying on three products that you will surely find in your fridge.

How to make stuffed tomatoes that will look like tulips?

Ingredients:

  • small tomatoes,
  • fresh chives,
  • cream cheese with dill, seasoned with salt and pepper to taste.

Preparation method:

  1. Prepare the filling for your edible tulips. Finely chop the dill and mix it with the cream cheese.
  2. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste, then transfer it into a piping bag.
  3. Next, attend to the tomatoes. Cut each one from top to bottom in a crisscross pattern, allowing them to open beautifully, just like the petals of a real tulip.
  4. On the opposite side, use a toothpick to make a small hole. Then, insert the green chive into the hole—the stem of the edible tulip is ready.
  5. Finally, stuff each tomato with the previously prepared mixture and serve on a long plate.
