The kitchen should be spotless. Although most people remember to clean this room regularly, they often forget to clean the kitchen hood thoroughly. This is especially true for those who cook often and use many colourful and intense spices.
What to clean the kitchen hood with?
A dirty and smelly kitchen hood is far from pleasant. Therefore, if we cook frequently, we should clean the hood at least once a week. If we cook less often, we can clean the hood's elements once a month.
What should you use to clean the kitchen hood? Fortunately, we do not need expensive chemical agents. We likely have the following products at home: water, white vinegar, baking soda, and mild dishwashing liquid.
Pour three cups of lukewarm water and one cup of white vinegar into any container. Then, add a cup of baking soda and half a cup of dishwashing liquid. Mix the entire solution well.
How to clean the kitchen hood?
We begin cleaning the kitchen hood by turning off the appliance and wiping the casing with a cloth soaked in the degreasing solution. Then, we remove the aluminium filter and apply the mixture to it using a soft sponge. We then place the filter in a bathtub or sink filled with hot water.
Soak the filter for about 15 minutes. After this time, gently scrub it with a sponge soaked in the solution, rinse, and wipe it. You can also spray the internal components of the hood with the liquid. It is sufficient to leave it for 15 minutes before wiping it with a damp cloth. Finally, reinstall the filter. Even old and sticky grease should come off the hood.
