Apple honey cake is a dessert that perfectly combines the sweetness of honey with the delicate aroma of apples. This layered cake looks beautiful on a plate and is a true star among Christmas desserts. The crusty honey cake, aromatic cream, and juicy apples create a harmonious whole that melts in your mouth.

Although the honey cake seems to be a perfect dessert, adding butter-fried apples further enhances its taste. Along with dulce de leche and almond flakes, there's nothing left to do but indulge in its flavour.
Apple honey cake is a classic that never goes out of style, especially during the festive season. Its unique taste and aroma make it an ideal dessert for family gatherings.
Ingredients:
Cake:
- 450 g plain flour,
- 120 g butter,
- 2 teaspoons of baking soda,
- 2 eggs,
- 80 g sugar,
- 4 tablespoons of honey.
Punch:
- 1 cup of tea.
Apple mousse:
- 1 kg of apples,
- 1 tablespoon of butter,
- 2 strawberry jellies.
Cream filling:
- 750 ml milk (250 ml for pudding),
- 5 tablespoons of sugar,
- 2 cream puddings,
- 200 g soft butter.
Other ingredients:
- 400 g dulce de leche,
- almond flakes for topping.
Method:
Step 1. Peel the apples and cut them into small cubes. In a pot, melt the butter, add the fruit and stew until soft. Then, sprinkle in the strawberry jelly, mix and set aside to cool.
Step 2. Sift the plain flour into a bowl, add the baking soda and soft butter, and start kneading the dough. Next, add sugar, eggs and liquid honey. When the ingredients have combined, divide the dough into two parts.
Step 3. Line the bottom of a baking tray with dimensions approximately 11x7 inches with baking paper. Press the base from one part of the dough. Place in an oven preheated to 180°C (356°F) for 20 minutes. Repeat with the second part of the honey cake.
Step 4. Dissolve the pudding in 250 ml of milk, bring the remaining milk to a boil. Pour in the dissolved pudding, stirring until thickened. Set aside to cool. Beat the butter with a mixer, gradually adding the cooled pudding.
Step 5. Spread half of the pudding cream on the baked layer. Place the prepared apples and the remaining pudding mixture on top.
Step 6. Place the second layer and soak it with tea. Spread the dulce de leche and sprinkle with almond flakes. Refrigerate the cake overnight. The next day, cut the apple miodownik into pieces and enjoy!
