Carlson journeys to Moscow: Seeks Russian view on Ukraine
Former Fox News journalist Tucker Carlson has flown to Moscow once again. This time, he intends to interview Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The recording is expected to be released "soon."
Carlson explained that he wanted to speak with Lavrov to present the "Russian perspective" on the conflict in Ukraine. He also claimed that we are closer to nuclear war than during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
He mentioned that he also asked Lavrov whether the world is heading towards an unprecedented conflict between Russia and the USA and what Donald Trump's election as president means for the conflict in Ukraine.
Additionally, Carlson stated that he has been trying for over a year to converse with Volodymyr Zelensky, but "the US government is thwarting these efforts."
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova also shared information about Carlson's conversation with Lavrov on social media. She also posted a joint photo of the journalist and politician.
Carlson in Moscow again
The last time Carlson visited Moscow was in February 2024 to interview with Vladimir Putin.
The interview was criticised because Carlson did not pose challenging questions to the Russian president, such as those regarding the bombing of cities, grain theft, or the deportation of Ukrainian children. Instead, Putin spent considerable time on various historical digressions.
