US arms sales to Ukraine paused, awaiting "political decisions"
Ukrainian deputy chairman of the National Defence and Intelligence Commission Roman Kostenko informed that American companies have halted the sale of weapons to Ukraine. According to him, they are waiting for "political decisions".
Kostenko stated that, based on his information, the sale of U.S. arms to Ukraine has been put on hold. The companies handling these deliveries are awaiting political decisions.
The deputy emphasised, however, that direct aid from the United States is still flowing.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his readiness to enable Europe to purchase American weapons for Ukraine. Such a solution could help Kyiv if the White House blocks direct aid.
"Indispensable aid"
The unian.ua website reminds us that, according to Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, further military-political support from the USA is crucial.
Alexander Karpliuk, a soldier of the 59th Assault Brigade, emphasized that specific U.S. aid is indispensable. He pointed out that HIMARS, Patriot surface-to-air missiles, NASAMS, and F-16 equipment have no substitutes. Additionally, he highlighted the reliance on Starlink, which remains essential for everyone.
