The fight for a sun lounger has already become a tradition during holidays at foreign resorts. A specific British family showcased their method on TikTok for reserving a sun lounger despite the poolside bans. Did they think it through well?

Tired of constant complaints, Greek hotels have introduced strict rules regarding sun lounger reservations. They state clearly: "One cannot reserve sunbeds from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM." If someone leaves their sun lounger to go to breakfast, their towels will be removed. However, not everyone liked this idea...

TikToker Hollie Harper did not hide her anger. She claims her family is "ready to sacrifice breakfast for the greater good." The video she posted on TikTok shows how her entire family appears by the pool at 6:45 AM to "secure their campsite." Five family members lie on the sun loungers, enjoying the morning sun and ignoring the guard who ensures they do not leave their spot to go to breakfast. In the video, it's clear that the Harpers remained on the sun loungers and consumed their first meal, which was brought on plates from the hotel kitchen. This did not bother the guard, so the family had sun loungers and full plates. Did they think it through cleverly?

Greeks fight against sun loungers and tourists

The Greek government has taken measures to tidy up beaches and eliminate illegal sun loungers and chairs. Due to the increasing number of complaints, a protest group was formed, mobilizing thousands of residents to express their dissatisfaction with the high costs of using beaches allocated to tourists.

The authorities have introduced new regulations, requiring umbrellas and sun loungers to be at least four meters from the sea. Displaying sun loungers, umbrellas, tables, and chairs on beaches requires a license, and on some stretches, a complete ban on placing any equipment has been enforced.
