According to the agency's information, Ukraine plans to launch its first long-range attacks in the coming days using ATACMS missiles, which have a range of about 305 kilometres.

Reuters reports that the change in the US administration's decision was influenced by Russia's deployment of North Korean ground troops on the front.

The White House does not comment on the matter

The White House refused to comment on the issue, not addressing reports of the possible use of American weapons by Ukraine for attacks on Russian territory.

Although the sources cited by Reuters do not reveal their identities, they are said to be directly familiar with the situation.

NYT: missiles are to be used in the Kursk region

According to the New York Times, American long-range missiles are to be used against Russian and North Korean troops in the Kursk region.

The first long-range attacks will likely be carried out in the coming days using ATACMS missiles with a range of 305 kilometres.

It is not clear if Trump will reverse Biden's decision when he takes office. Trump has long criticized the scale of U.S. financial and military aid to Ukraine and has vowed to end the war quickly, without explaining how, adds Reuters.

A dark night in Ukraine

On the night from Saturday to Sunday, Russia conducted a series of air attacks on Ukraine. As President Volodymyr Zelenskyy conveyed, 120 missiles and 90 drones were launched, targeting the already severely weakened energy system. At least seven people died.
