Autumn dessert: A quick and easy apple pie triumph

Apple pie has saved me from a culinary predicament more than once or twice. It's one of the quickest and most economical cakes I’ve encountered. It is undoubtedly one of my favourites.

Making this kind of apple pie involves directly pouring ingredients into the baking dish. After that, simply sprinkle them with butter and pop it in the oven. Although it may sound unrealistic, this method works. It's worth remembering this recipe because it will be useful in many situations.

How to make an apple pie?

Making this simple cake is really easy. If it weren't for the high oven temperature, you could even trust a child with preparing this dessert. In one bowl, we mix dry ingredients, while in another, we prepare washed and cleaned apples.

The next step is to layer the dry ingredients and fruit alternately in the baking pan, creating several layers. Finally, cover the top of the cake with pieces of cold butter. And that's it. We bake the cake for about an hour. The result is simply incredible.

Apple pie recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of plain flour,
  • 1 cup of semolina,
  • 1/2 cup of sugar,
  • 2 tablespoons of vanilla sugar,
  • 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder,
  • 1.5 kilograms of apples,
  • cinnamon,
  • 150 grams of cold butter.

Preparation:

  1. Mix the dry ingredients: flour, semolina, sugar, vanilla sugar, and baking powder in a bowl, and then divide into three equal parts.
  2. Peel the apples and grate them with a coarse grater into the second bowl. Season them with cinnamon to taste.
  3. Line a baking pan with parchment paper. Spread one part of the dry ingredients evenly on the bottom. Then lay out half of the apples, and sprinkle another part of the dry ingredients over the apples. Next, layer the apples again and cover them with the last part of the dry ingredients. Place slices of cold butter on top of the dessert.
  4. Bake the "szarlotka sypana" at 190°C for 50-60 minutes until the cake is golden brown.
